Matt Ruddy: Reviews

Straight upbeat folk which plays well live. There is enough here to make me think he has something to offer. It does sound as if the recordings were done in house party situations and as a result they are a bit rough and raw-edged, but that can be a good thing for it does capture a bit of the evening and that is the gift of a live performance.  He sounds like a pretty nice guy and that counts as much as anything else sometimes.

I gotta say that it really calms me down when im stressed out and busy.  Matt, you gotta way of putting both little things and big things in perspective, keep up the good work.

Just received my copy of Living Rooms & Rooftops. Well done my friend. This album contains what may be the single greatest moment in recording history... It happens midway through the "I Just Swallowed a Bug remix" of Right and Wrong when Mista Ruddy er... well... swallows a bug, yet is able to continue the song unhindered by his six legged meal. In all seriousness, the album sounds great, and the songwriting is amazing.
